WHEN ARE YOU BOOKING AND HOW CAN I BOOK AN APPOINTMENT for A TATTOO?

Schedules are different for each artist. Keep an eye on their socials media pages for more info.

You can call the Studio at any time to set up  a consultation or you can fill out a form for one of our artists found here online.

All appointments are by appointment only. Unless an artist is doing a flash sale or a walk in day. Info for events can be found on our social media pages.

After the consultation we require a cash Non-Refundable deposit to hold your appointment (This will of course come off the cost of your tattoo)The price of the deposit will depend on the project, time needed and artist. It can range from $100- $400.

If you’re from out of town or you cant make it to the studio ,you can also submit the consult form and then we can set up a phone or zoom appointment with your artist.

HOW OLD DO I HAVE TO BE TO GET TATTOOED or pierced ?

With a parents consent you can get tattooed at the age of 16. Your parents will have to be present at the tattoo appointment to approve the tattoo design and placement as well as sign a waiver. Both you and your parent will have to provide Photo ID. Parental consent is not required if you are 18 years of age or older.

We offer lobe piercing services for 10 yeas of age, and anything under 16 requires parental consent. 18 years of age or older for Tongue, and Nipple services. No exceptions.

Please review our age requirements on our services page.
Everyone, no matter what age, requires to provide a piece of government photo ID. No ID… No service.

HOW MUCH WILL THIS TATTOO COST ME?

Prices are different for each artist.

The cost of a piece depends on many factors. The size, placement, amount of detail, the client's skin and stamina, whether it is colour or black and grey etc. The best way to get an estimate for a piece is to come down and book a consult. Or visit the booking page and do it online. Once we have had a chance to review all the details about how you would like your new tattoo to look, we will be able to give you a better idea of approximate price.

HOW DO I TAKE CARE OF A FRESH PIERCING?

  • Simply put, your piercing is an open wound.  As a result, anything that can cause irritation or infection should be kept away from the piercing.  Do not let people or pets touch your piercing. Make sure that you wash your hands before handling anything that will be touching the area.

  • During the first day, DO NOT TOUCH THE PIERCING.  If you have any immediate concerns, please call or come back to the shop for assistance.  I’m happy to help!

  • Over the next week, your piercing should be cleaned once per day.

  • Running water is the best method to cleaning your piercing, and ALWAYS wash your hands before you start the cleaning process.

  • The piercing is the last thing that should be cleaned in the shower.  All shampoo and conditioner must be rinsed completely away so that it does not enter the piercing.

  • The jewellery needs to be GENTLY moved in order to allow water to enter the piercing and help with the rinse.  If a ring was used, rotate the ring backwards and forwards several times until the jewellery slides easily.  If a stud or barbell was used shuffle the jewellery back and forth until it slides easily.  The ease of sliding means water has gotten into the piercing.  Fresh piercings will not move as easily.  DO NOT force the jewellery, simply rinse and carry on.

  • Repeat rinsing your piercing for another 1-2 minutes. Carefully check any beads to make sure they are secure.  Be mindful to clean away any ‘crusties’ that may have developed.

◦      As your piercing heals, a clear or slightly yellow liquid can be seen around the jewellery. When this liquid is exposed to air it hardens, resulting in ‘crusties’.  This is completely normal with most piercings, and while they pose no risk to you, they should be removed diligently with regular cleaning.  DO NOT overclean as it will interfere with the healing process.

  • A month after the piercing, rinsing can be reduced to 2-3 times per week, or as necessary.

  • As a reminder, DO NOT remove crusties before they have been properly rinsed/soaked and DO NOT use your fingers to remove them unless they have been properly washed first.  It is just as important that you ONLY rinse the area once per day as to not interfere with your body’s natural healing process.

  • As well as following the cleaning instructions above, be sure to rinse your mouth with water after eating as anything that isn’t water can irritate your piercing.  It is a good idea to keep a bottle of water with you for at least 2 weeks.

If you feel as if something is wrong with your piercing, the jewellery doesn’t sit the way you want it to, there is a ‘funny’ colour, you think the tissue around the area is discoloured, etc.  DO NOT PANIC AND DO NOT CONSULT THE INTERNET.  Call or come back to see us, and calmly voice your concerns and questions.  You will never be turned away, charged, or told we are too busy.

HOW DO I TAKE CARE OF A FRESH TATTOO?

If your artist used a Black Pad and Sensi Wrap the tattoo:

  • Keep your wrapping on overnight if possible or for at least 4-6 hours.

  • In the morning, you can use the Sea Salt Soak* Routine OR hop in the shower and with clean hands wash your tattoo with an antibacterial soap with lukewarm water applying moderate pressure. This will remove the naturally occurring blood cells and Vaseline, as well as any debris or plasma that might have collected.

  • You only need to do this soak one time, the morning after your tattoo.

-  Pour 3/4 cup of coarse ground Sea Salt into your CLEAN bathtub.

-  Stand in the bath as you fill it with as hot as you can handle water, stirring gently to dissolve the salt.

-  Soak your new tattoo for 15-20 minutes taking care not to leave your new tattoo resting against the sides or the bottom of the tub.

  • Pat dry with a clean towel and leave uncovered.

  • After a few days, the tattoo will peel and feel itchy.

If your artist used a Saniderm or Second Skin to cover the tattoo:

  • We recommend leaving it on your new tattoo for between 8 to 24 hours. Everyone heals differently, and the length of time will vary depending on how much fluid your tattoo is weeping. You may leave it on for 5-7 days. If your tattoo expels more plasma and blood than usual, you may find yourself having to change it This is common with heavy saturation and color work.

  • Regardless of how much fluid build-up you experience, you should always change the initial film at the 24-hour mark to clean the area.

  • Once you’ve applied the second bandage, it can be worn for up to 6 days. If you find the tattoo weeps into the second piece, remove it at the next 24-hour period. Then wash the tattoo, apply aftercare if needed, and apply a third piece. This third piece can be worn for up to 5 days. Saniderm should not be worn for more than 7 days total. If there is any redness or sensitivity at all, please remove the bandage imminently.

  • After a few days, the tattoo will peel and feel itchy.

  • Daily cleaning is recommended but DO NOT PICK or SCRATCH.

  • You can apply a small amount of ointment, or unscented moisturizer 1-2 times a day but DO NOT over moisturize it as that will slow down healing.

  • DO NOT use any antibiotic ointments, petroleum-based products (Vaseline), aloe vera, preparation-h, bees wax, lanolin, citric acid, tea tree oil, canuba or candilla wax, oleic acid, alcohol, lemon grass or old bottles of lotion hanging around your house.

  • Repeat this process until the tattoo begins to heal.

  • Healing times can vary from person to person, usually 2-3 weeks is average healing time.

  • Be careful not to cross contaminate your lotions and creams! Clean fingers, and never touch ends of the pump on containers.

  • Pools, hot tubs and saunas should be avoided for 2 weeks.

  • Avoid letting your tattoo be in the sun for at least 2 weeks. New tattoos can burn easily. Also, please note, some inks can cause a histamine reaction due to a foreign substance in your skin and you may experience slight irritation on your tattoo months after it's healed. AFTER IT'S HEALED: make sure you're wearing sunscreen while in the sun to protect your tattoo from fading!

  • Elevation, nutrition and fluids are essential after a tattoo, so be good to your body.
